I have read several stories over the years about John McCain’s Christian faith. He is of a generation of men that were taught to let their actions do the talking. I am pleased he is beginning to verbalize his faith in Jesus Christ and how that faith helped him as a POW.
John McCain has finally begun to talk his walk with Jesus. Until recently, the details about the Republican presidential nominee’s Christian convictions were missing in action. Starting this summer, McCain and some of his closest Vietnam War-era buddies began pulling back the narrative curtain. Read more...(estimated 34 secs)
I am praying that over 150,000,000 people will register and vote in this election season. The opportunity to vote is both a right and a privilege. With the advent of the Internet, online voter registration is easier than ever. While concerns over voter fraud have attorneys piling up the fees, it should not keep anyone away from the polls. You should register online and vote.
Several sites are listed below that show how to register online to vote. Voter registration websites can be just as partisan as our political parties. I have tried to be fair and balanced by including Republicans, Democrats and Others. Read more...(estimated 31 secs)
Leaders lead. It may not be apparent when the water is calm and the breezes are gentle. Life is good and any pretender can clamor up the hill and proclaim their virtue.
When the sky darkens and the wind bites at our backs though, actors tumble down the hill. They hesitate. They overt-think. They circle the wagons in uncertainty.
A politician can declare that he is a leader. His political party can declare that he’s a leader. And hundreds of thousands of acolytes around the world can swoon devotedly at his feet, and he can rack up all the trappings of leadership. But none of that in fact makes him into a leader if he actually isn’t one. Read more...(estimated 1:24 mins)
After days of moaning and blaming, perhaps a few facts should be inserted into the discussion about the current financial melt-down.
Barack Obama blames John McCain and Republicans for the mess. Why? According to Obama, Conservatives have been advocating de-regulation and free market controls and this de-regulation produced the current fiasco. Sounds great to liberals. Must be true. Read more...(estimated 2:27 mins)
Speaking in Ceder Rapids, John McCain finally said what the MSM should have been saying; Barack Obama and the Democrats are largely to blame for our financial crisis. Obama wants to blame others but the fact is Obama did nothing to head off the coming crisis when he had the chance. McCain said, Read more...(estimated 53 secs)
I am a tremendous of fan of highly crafted wit and sacrcasm. Jonah Goldberg’s article analyzing Obama’s recent attacks against McCain for not being able to use email are razor sharp.
Oh one last point for now: Lord knows I think the chicken-hawk arguments are stupid. And I don’t think the fact that Obama never served in the military should count against him in and of itself. But how stupid is it for the Obama campaign to claim that McCain is unqualified to be president because he can’t grasp cyber-security issues based on the fact he has never sent an email when the McCain campaign can just as easily say Obama can’t understand first order national security issues because he’s never fired a rife, flown a plane, commanded men in battle, or faced an enemy? I mean which prepares someone to be commander in chief better, hitting “send” on AOL or fighting a war? Read more...(estimated 40 secs)
