MGM, I completely agree with you about the liberal California court in their decision about changing what the people voted on. There was a Marriage amendment in California that passed by 61% before the court struck down the will of the people.

I will definitely be voting Yes on 102 this November.

Detractors of Prop 102 argue that there are existant laws on the books in Arizona and that a constitutional amendment is not necessary.

They are incorrect in that assertion. The events that have occurred in California have illustrated vividly how needed the constitutional amendment. The California Supreme Court narrowly decided (4-3) that it is unconstitutional to prohibit same-sex marriages and struck down all such laws in the state.

This is an egregious example of “legislating from the bench”. Morever, it flies in the face of voter approved prohibition.

By amending the Arizona constitution, Arizona judges will not be afforded the same opportunity to legislate from the bench.

Please join me in voting Yes on Prop 102.

If there’s a marriage amendment in your state, vote in favor of protecting marriage and freedom. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California reiterated he opposes an initiative backed by conservatives to ban gay marriage in the state constitution. He said he personally defines marriage as between a man and a woman but that he does not “want to force that opinion on anyone.”

The governor is sadly mistaken. If homosexual civil unions in California continues to be legal, every citizen will be forced to support gay marriages and lifestyles. This means public institutions, like schools, will be required to teach homosexual lifestyles as normal. If a parent with a child in public school tells her child that homosexuality is wrong, Child Protective Services (CPS) can come take her child away because of “child abuse.” Child abuse is the physical, psychological or sexual maltreatment of children. Liberal groups, like the ACLU, view intollerance for homosexuality (known in the propoganda media as homophobia) as psychological abuse. Anyone who is found to discriminate against homosexuals can lose their children, livelihood, job, forced imprisonment and/or receive fines.
