Freedom From Government

Quotes from Thomas Jefferson –

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.

Maybe America has wandered into paths far from those envisioned by the framers of its constitution. Instead of looking inward and improve the quality of life of Americans, America looked outward and messed around with the political, financial and institutional systems of other countries. It tried to become a god and big brother to the rest of the world. The result? Its own institutional system went down the drain and it is now stuck in the quagmire of its own decadence. There is still hope of course if America will mend its ways and look up to God for deliverance. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

I am shocked to think that so many Christians apparently have totally disregarded the teachings of Christ and now consider taking care of our own an idea that one “abhors.”

The federal government is supposed to protect us. That is what they just did, they have ended the tyranny of health insurance companies and stopped our people from dying due to lack of healthcare.

This bill will help the working public who have to choose between health insurance premiums and a light bill.
This bill will STOP the ungodly holds and limits that insurance companies put on innocent people, while they continue to rake in extreme profits off the backs of those who are ill.
This bill will END the term “pre-existing condition.”
The taxes will only affect those who make at least $200k a year (single) or $250k (married).

I am quickly learning to distinguish myself from Republican Christians and will from now on call myself “one who follows the teachings of Christ.” Read more in Matthew 25, beginning in verse 31.

Thank God this bill is passing in spite of the tyrannical and nonsensical antics of lying and fear mongering Republicans.

Furthermore, I will not be so arrogant as to assume what anyone who is no longer with us would say regarding this matter of extreme urgency to America’s citizenry.

    Let our people LIVE.
May God bless America again, now that she is taking care of her own.
