Freedom to Kill Act

Barack Obama has promised to sign the Freedom of Choice to Kill Act. Anyone concerned with the rights of babies, parents, taxpayers and local governments should work to defeat this legislation.

FOCA Would Wipe Away Every Restriction on Abortion Nationwide

This would eradicate state and federal laws that the majority of Americans support, such as:

  • Bans on Partial Birth Abortion
  • Requirements that women be given information about the risks of getting an abortion
  • Only licensed physicians can perform abortions
  • Parents must be informed and give consent to their minor daughter’s abortion

FOCA would erase these laws and prevent states from enacting similar protective measures in the future.

Catholic Bishops, Boomer and Gianna Jessen have articles worth reviewing.

I have the video for Gianna’s story you will want to watch.

Its a woman’s body – her right to chose. I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if someone came along and told you what you could or couldn’t do to your own body.

We have wide variety of laws that regulate what you can do to your own body. Further, it is not just a woman’s body, it is a baby’s body as well.

Stopping this law will not stop abortions. It will require abortionists to notify parents of 15 year old girls before they perform an abortion however.

Stopping this law will keep Roe v. Wade from becoming the law of the land. As Dr. Bruce said, if this law is stopped, then minor girls will have to notify their parents before having an abortion.

As for a woman’s right to do as she chooses with her body, they should think about that before they behave in a manner that gets them pregnant as a result. Does the baby not have rights as well?

Like every controversial topic we can’t all agree, but… we can agree that IF we (teachers, schools, parents, etc.) took to the time to talk to their kids about having premarital sex, unprotected sex, sex too early and many other possibilities, AND taught “JUST SAY NO” like they with drugs, then maybe… just maybe we’d have less babieis raising babies and unwanted children and abortions in this world. People say you can’t teach them “just say no” cause it’s not practicial or realistic cause they are going to do it anyway. Why don’t they teach, “practice safe drugs or practice doing drugs safely”? I just don’t understand it. What choice is there for the baby that is being destroyed, so for those commenting on “woman shouldn’t be told what they can’t or can do with their bodies” what choices are you affording for that unborn child that didn’t exactly have a say so…
