Wisdom of the day

conscience angel devil“On some positions, Cowardice asks the question, “Is it safe?” Expediency asks the question, “Is it politic?” And Vanity comes along and asks the question, “Is it popular?” But Conscience asks the question “Is it right?” And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must do it because Conscience tells him it is right. ” Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.

I agree with Bill. It seems less and less people do the right thing as often as they should. It is much easier to be safe, PC or popular.

Yes, I believe in this Dr. Bruce. It is not a matter of whether one thing is popular, or accepted by many, or expedient that makes it morally right. Right is according to God’s will no matter what the situation maybe. To compromise is to swerve from the will of God. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

I couldn’t agree more! That’s what the atheist out campaign is all about. It, just like civil rights and gay rights, is about raising the consciousness about a group of people, 30 million in the USA, that have been marginalized by religious society.
