Mere Christianity – Reading It Together
I have just joined a group of believers from across the country in reading and discussing Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. The moderator of the group is Tim Challies and you can follow the discussion if you would like. My blogging friend, David, is prolific writer on these community reviews and has already started his first installment of his evaluation of the book which I encourage you to take a look at.
Reading classic Christian literature is a wonderful discipline. I hope my journey will assist you in your journey toward the Savior.
You may want to get a copy for yourself and read along. The paperback edition is not expensive and the link below will show you how to get a used copy at Amazon if your budget is especially thin.
You may know C.S. Lewis best for his series, The Chronicles of Narnia.

I have not read many books by C.S. Lewis, but I have read “Mere Christianity”, a classic that has lasted the test of time.
A great read and highly recommended!
Bruce,
Thanks for the link! I bought my copy, used on Amazon. I think I paid $4 for it. Looks brand new, and arrived very quickly.
I tend to buy all my books used now. Wonderful value.
I love C.S. Lewis! I think my favorite of his books is “The Screwtape Letters.”
This is one of my all-time favorite books. I often quote it.
I have not read any of C.S. Lewis’ work, but I have listened to the Chronicles of Narnia series from Focus on the Family and if that series does them justice, the books must be wonderful.
This is a great idea! The last time I read Mere Christianity was years ago.
Thanks for sending me the link!
have no desire or time to read Mere Christianity.
I have read the book- Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis when I was just starting as a Christian and it has inspired me a lot. I carried the memory of that inspiring book all through these years. I’m glad you made a review of that book since I’m sure it will also inspire so many more people as they walk in the way of the Lord. Thanks again and God bless.
One of my buddies is always talking about your blog at work – finally came and checked it out today, nice work! I’m subscribing to your rss feed – keep on posting!
