The ESV Study Bible was created to help people understand the Bible in a deeper way–to understand the timeless truth of God’s Word as a powerful, compelling, life-changing reality. To accomplish this, the ESV Study Bible combines the best and most recent evangelical Christian scholarship with the highly regarded ESV Bible text. The result is the most comprehensive study Bible ever published–with 2,752 pages of extensive, accessible Bible resources.

I am still working out the details on how to do the drawing. Leave a comment on what you think is the best way. I have considered:

  1. Assign everyone a number and use a random number generator
  2. Put the names on a wheel and spin
  3. The tried and true, but boring, pull a name out of a hat.

Let me know what you think.

There are more details on the entry at Win a New ESV Study Bible.

Blessings,

Dr.B

I think you should blow up balloons and number each on w/ contestants having a corresponding number. Then blindfold Miz Penny and spin her around a few times before letting her throw a dart at the ballons. (Just remember to duck)!!! Hee hee

I think you should put the names on a board and throw darts and the one that you hit with the most darts wins! LOL

With less than a few hundred, I place them in excel use the random number and set it up to run a few hundred times then choose the one on top when sorted.

Open the bible at random (probably best if you stick with the earlier books that have more chapters) and see what the first new chapter is from the point you open it. That way, the bible itself gets to choose! :)
