Gwen Ifill Seemed Fair

gwen ifill Gwen Ifill Seemed FairI posted a lengthy article about the appropriateness of Gwen Ifill serving as moderator for the VP debate. She has a real, not just apparent, conflict of interest with her new book lauding the “Age of Obama.” Liberals would never accept this conflict if the situation was reversed. Say if Rush Limbaugh were hosting a debate.

I have come to accept the Liberal bias of the MSM and recognize that we must live with it. The ongoing double standard still did not set well with me.

That said, Gwen seemed to be fair and balanced in her demeanor and questions.

So, maybe we should give Sean Hannity a shot at moderator. Bill O’Reilly? Dick Morris maybe? Anybody agree? Not even Brit Hume?

Jeez, 4/5 of this article was crabbing and moaning about a conflict of interest. Then the author reluctantly admits that IFill was apparently fair and even handed in her role as debate moderator. She acted professionally. Isn’t that what we expect folks to do, regardless of who they otherwise drool for?

Hi Edson,

I did not reluctantly admit anything.

I rightly criticized the clear conflict of interest. Ifill should not have been the moderator. Liberals would never have allowed a Conservative with the same conflict to moderate a debate and even if they would it is not right.

Having made my objection clear, I pointed out that in my opinion Ms. Ifill did an even-handed job with the debate. I have not found one conservative writer saying that today so I believe it actually a good thing to point out. I does not remove the conflict however.

Perhaps you missed the “tongue-in-cheek” nature of suggesting Rush Limbaugh as a moderator. That would, of course, present the same conflict of interest and would be unacceptable to me.

Thanks for adding to the discussion.

Blessings!

Brit Hume would probably okay, he seems be a professional.

Sean Hannity? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Why not Michael Savage, then? Or Ann Coulter!
